Very poorly built guitar in some important ways but also some good points. Upgraded just now to two stars. The fourth fret was cut too deep. The first string is lined up so close to edge of frets that all frets are already a problem, but that fret is lined up directly over the point where the string would come down. (I monkeyed with it and got the neck lined up much better just now-- hence upgrade to 2 stars) Even if you are the rare guitarist who presses strings straight down every time that string will likely pop off most times, since it is 50/50 chance. The finish is ridiculously haphazard, with no care for ascetics. The woods used are of good quality, but ruined by blow torch finish job done by someone who did not care. Bought mine on ebay, no returns. The company is nice enough to engage with me in ebay returns though. So far so good working with them. They tried a very risky model with ambitious ideas, so maybe I can make this work. Will update this review after working on this with the company and taking to a luthier to see what they think. Nice idea, great woods, and decent electronics. Weird, cool travel guitar? TBD.
